birds & bedroom layout change

Image
Good aye everyone, Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted but I have been preoccupied with other things. Earlier today my cockatiel (Chico) and my budgie (Jacob), were sitting together on Chico's perch when I walked in to my bedroom. This is the first time Chico has let a budgie be that close to him without him trying to bite at them or warn them away. I quickly ran and got my camera to catch the moment, they look so adorable together. I can never seem to keep my room the same layout for a long period of time. This is however my favorite layout for my bedroom, I also actually really enjoy home decorating and mixing things up. My  mother  is an artist, which she painted the silhouette painting on my wall of an sunset in Africa.   Its been raining all day here in Brisbane, Australia. I love hearing the rain outside my window, its just so calming to listen too. I hope everyone, is having a wonderful weekend and is staying safe in this world. *CLICK BEL

filming room & a foggy morning

Image
Evening fellow readers, Yesterday the house got rearranged and I ended up getting a filming room which I much needed. I share it with my Mother so she can use the wardrobe in the room to store all her art supplies, and believe me she has ALOT. Now I finally have the space to have a proper video making setup. Practically all the furniture in my room I purchased from IKEA, it is affordable and looks good. I always like having stuff well organised, I honestly dont know how some people can work in messy spaces. I do plan on making the room feel a bit more homely by pinning stuff to the wall behind my desk, however I am still undecided what to pin. I was thinking some of my more professional looking photography shots.  Now that it is starting to cool down here in Brisbane, Australia. We have been having a couple foggy mornings recently, hopefully I will be able to get some better shots with my DSLR camera. I might go on a early walk one morning to get some better shots but for

Good morning all, Over the past couple days I have started to hand tame my 3-4 year old male cockatiel which I actually got from my older brother due to Chico being to noisy. He was extremely aggressive at first and would not let anyone put their hand near him without him biting it, however after 4 days of hand taming him he will happily hop on and off my hand when I ask him too. I never knew birds could be so smart, it only took 4 days for him too learn what "Step up" meant! He has become my little companion over the past couple days, and he is always quite fascinated with the stud in my ear as y'all can see below... He is also quite the bird model, posing for me as I take photos of him the cheeky little thing. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

new budgie

Image
Hello readers and YouTube followers, As you all know I absolutely love my current flock of birds. After visiting the local pet shop a couple times and seeing all the cute baby budgies I came to the conclusion that I had to convince my mother to let me get one, so after a lot of begging meet my new budgie. The name is still undecided as I am unsure whether it is a girl or a boy, I am hoping for a male because my family never seems to have much luck with females and them getting egg bound which sadly leads to them passing away. I have had to clip his/her wings to make it easy for me to hand tame the budgie without it flying off and hitting into things around the house. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

meet the budgies

Image
Hello again, Today I would like to introduce everyone to my three male budgies at the moment who get along great, the green one was my first ever pet and is still living 9 years later, his name is Jacob. The blue one originally was my brother bird but he ended up giving him to me and his name is Maylik and he is roughly around 10 years old. The all white one is the baby of them all as I only got him 2 years ago and he is also the most camera shy, so he would not let me get near him with the camera to take a picture, oh and his name is Leroy.  They are currently live in my bedroom, where they are allowed to openly explore there surroundings as they are let out for the whole day.  I hope everyone had a great weekend and is also having a great start to the week, it is starting to really cool down here in Brisbane, Australia. Absolutely love winter time, its nice to have a break from the summer heat. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -

adventure time

Image
Morning everyone, Hope everyone is doing well across the world. Yesterday my family and I decided to go out for the day to Mount Tambourine, located in South-East Queensland. I thought I would take along my DSLR camera and take some photography shots of the beautiful scenery the mountain had to offer, we went on a beautiful hike through the rain forest and came across a waterfall called Curtis Fall's. After we had finished the hike, we took a drive further up Mount Tambourine to a look out over the country and oh what a treat it was, the photos do not do it justice. There is nothing more that I love to do that to get out of the house with my family and go on adventures making new memories we will never forget, life is to short to sit at home and miss out on the greatness nature has to offer.                          *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

first youtube video is up

Image
Evening everyone, I got all the equipment needed to start filming. I plan to do a post in the near future on all my camera equipment so for anyone who would like to see that make sure to follow my blog. Below is a photo of a little bit of my filming set up which just includes my Nikon D3400 camera and tripod, I also setup desk lamps so my face could be clearly visible through the lens of the camera.      It took me awhile to get used to the video editor I am currently using, but after I figured it out editing the video became very swift and easy. I would appreciate if everyone would go check out my very first YouTube video featured below, I would love feedback on what y'all would like to see in future content and I am very excited to begin this new journey in my life. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

cyclonic weather is over

Image
Hello y'all, As my previous post stated Queensland was hit with a Cyclone and after it pouring down with rain for the past week causing flash flooding across South-East Queensland, it has finally cleared up to be a beautiful day outside. I decided to take up the great weather conditions by getting outside and doing some gardening and yard work. I can't wait too see this garden take off, I will update everyone on how all the plants have grown in at much later date! I am determined to make my macro shots look like a professional photographer took them, but I think I am a bit to shaky while taking the pictures so they come out a tad blurry as you can see with the image below, but I guess practice make perfect. However if anyone has any tips on how to take good macro shots with a Nikon D3400, I would greatly appreciate it! *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

rainy day in south-east queensland

Image
Hello to all my new readers, What a week its been in Queensland. After Cyclone Debbie hitting up North, South-East Queensland is having flash flooding in some areas. Luckily where I am located, it hasn't been issued that flooding will occur. The Queensland Government says they are very well prepared for this natural disaster, unlike the floods that occurred back in 2011. My thoughts go out to the families who homes have been flooded or destroyed due to this horrific cyclone weather, stay safe everyone in South-East Queensland. On a positive note, I took the opportunity to try and get a macro shot of water droplets on the potted plants leaves outside. I am still learning how to use the Nikon D3400, so its not the best but I am slowly improving. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  -

new nikon d3400 camera

Image
Morning all, While I am still new to photography I would like to learn new ways of how to use a DSLR. So I recently bought the Nikon D3400 which was released in 2016, replacing the Nikon D3300. I am currently expanding my knowledge on how to use it with the all so handy help of YouTube, I got the DSLR Camera in the hope that I can make better quality YouTube content for y'all and progress with my photography.  The camera is designed nicely, and with the photos I have taken with it so far and I must say I am quite pleased! I still struggle with holding a still arm when taking Macro shots which causes it to come out a tad blurry but I am hoping over time I will be calmer when taking shots and not shake as much. I do plan on posting photos I have taken with the camera in a later blog. *CLICK BELOW & FOLLOW MY OTHER ACCOUNTS* -  YouTube  -  -  Instagram  - -  Twitter  - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
