i got a malchi puppy

Image
Good morning everyone! I am a bit late in introducing y'all too my new two month old puppy, but I wasn't even looking to buy a new puppy for awhile but my Aunt wasn't coping well with her so I swooped in and offered to purchase her as a playmate for Scarlett when I am not around. The new puppy is a Maltese X Chihuahua, and her name is Violet. She has definitely taken more after the Chihuahua as you will see in the photos below! Isn't she an absolutely adorable, Scarlett couldn't be happier to have a new little playmate in the house. I must say though Scarlett definitely does get carried away when playing with her and has made her yelp a couple times, so I need to watch them whenever they are playing because Violet is still very small compared to Scarlett and I don't want her getting injured. I am looking forward to when she is fully grown  and once she has her final vaccinations so I can start walking her in the mornings, I have had to put a hold on walking Scar...

the new tank

Morning fellow readers! Another blog post and it hasn't been two months yet? This week I decided to upgrade my Fluval Flex to a bigger aquarium, as I wanted to get more fish to try out as having the same fish for awhile does get quite boring. I purchased the 16 Gallon (60L) Fluval Curve, my previous Fluval was only 7 Gallons (30L) so it was a fairly small aquarium and it really did hold me back from owning more fish. Little miss Scarlett guarding the new edition to her bedroom after it got delivered to the house. I had already had a scape planned for this aquarium before I even ordered it, I was aiming purely for a lush heavily planted look and I think once the plants grow in my goal will be complete! The current stocking in this aquarium is Four Swordtails, Eleven Harlequin Rasboras, Six Bronze Cordydoras Catfish and One Albino Bristlenose Catfish. Now I do plan on attempting to breed my Swordtails as I think that would be something interesting to experience with you guys and bein...

what a week can do

Image
Hello everyone! Been a very long time since I have graced you with a blog post. I have been on Annual Leave from my Full time job for the past week and it has made me think about some stuff, such as why as a society do we work most of our lives and miss out on the joys of actually living. Whether that be spending quality time with family or getting out and surrounding yourself with friends, life shouldn't be just about working. After much thinking I thought it would be best for me to request to go Part time so I can work on other passions of mine for a bit, yes money will be a bit tighter but I have feeling everything will work out for the better this way. An added bonus to the request is now I will get to spend Christmas and New Years at home with my pets and family and I couldn't be happier about that, for the past three years I have worked on both these days and it's been exhausting. The photos above were taken roughly over two months ago I'd say, my Mum, Brother, Sc...

scarlett got groomed

Image
Good evening everyone, how have y'all been? I decided to get Scarlett groomed on Friday as her long poodle coat just kept matting where her harness sits, which no amount of brushing helped. I was hoping to hold off until the winter months are over so she didn't have to wear a jacket all the time because she absolutely hates wearing one, ends up ending up off of her on the floor somewhere.  As you can see Scarlett's coat before Friday was becoming very long, and being that we go to the beach a lot she gets sand in her hair. It's just a pain in the butt to manage when she gets her long coat. Isn't she just the cutest pup with her new groom, I asked the groomer to give her a "lamb cut" which is commonly used for Show Poodles. I couldn't get her to stand still for me to get a body shot of her so I hope her sitting will suffice.  Well I am off to work now, thought I should quickly get an update on Scarlett out for you guys. I plan on doing an update on all ...

scarlett had surgery

Image
How's everyone been lately with the colder weather setting in? Last Friday Scarlett went in for her first and hopefully only major surgery — she got spayed. I was dreading leaving her at the vets for the whole day as she's become quite my little companion over the past couple months. I felt empty knowing she wasn't by my side. However she seems to be healing quite well. When I went to pick her up she was extremely groggy and just fell asleep in my arms but two days later you wouldn't know she just had surgery. Scarlett is sporting the cone of shame when I'm not around to stop her from irritating her wound, although they are concealed, dissolvable stitches. I still don't want to risk anything happening. I also purchased Scarlett a new winter coat. I never realised how expensive a doggy coat was until it came to buying one. It cost me $69.00 AUD just for a bit of material! She does look extremely cute in it though so worth the money I guess.     *CLICK...

parlour time

Image
Hello again! Scarlett got her first every parlour job on Tuesday, and she turned out absolutely adorable. I was extremely nervous with sending her to get trimmed. I originally wanted to hold off til after the whole Coronavirus situation just incase the groomer or previous dogs might have been in contact with the virus, but after taking her for a walk I saw how desperately she needed done. I ended up staying at the parlour until she was finished just too make sure she remained safe, she was extremely well behaved the whole time. BEFORE THE PARLOUR AFTER THE PARLOUR If you haven't watched my latest YouTube upload, then you probably don't know what Scarlett got up too while I was having a nap after work. I leave my ensuite door open so if she wants to go lie on the cool tiles she can. However this particular day she thought it would be acceptable to rip apart the toilet paper and make a big mess of my bedroom. Cody did something very s...

weekend time

Image
Evening all! How has everyone’s weekend been? I have had a very relaxing one, started out by doing some gardening in our back yard. Weirdly enough I am now motivated to start a veggie patch but I always suck at keeping plants alive, it would save a lot of money though being that my birds eat a lot of fruit and vegetables each week. Scarlett is absolutely loving her new bed that I bought her, she obviously needs to grow into! She had her first appearance in a YouTube video today, she got extremely excited and no doubt will draw in her own fans! She also had her first bath with me today, she behaved very well but took ages to dry off being her fur is getting extremely long. I am a bit iffy on taking her to groomers at the moment with the whole Coronavirus situation happening. I now lay here at 3:21PM trying to go too sleep because I have work tonight. I am trying to get weekly content out for all my social media’s though, which is why before I hit the hay I thought I’d g...

i bought a puppy

Hello everyone I would like you all to meet my Miniature Poodle, Scarlett. Last Saturday we went out to the pound to look at maybe adopting a dog, but sadly they only had large dogs and being that we have an indoor cat I didn't want to take any risk. I started to look on Gumtree and an Apricot Miniature Poodle caught my eye. When we went to visit the breeder Scarlett was very shy and didn't too move much, but nonetheless she was adorable and I knew I had to have her. As you can see she was very nervous coming into her new home, tail between her legs and frozen in time. A week later and she is a completely different dog; running around the house crazy, destroying everything she can get her teeth on and just being plain adorable. I will keep everyone updated on Scarlett as the weeks go on. She will be featured in my YouTube video as well as a room tour, so make sure you have your post notifications turned on so you don't miss out! Also has anyone ever owned...

morning walks and getting back to the grind

Image
With the craze of Coronavirus, how's everyone been coping? Starting yesterday I am on a mission to be more active and eat healthier. Working as an Overnight Manager takes its toll on my body and my sleep pattern, I'm hoping I can finally get a hold of that being that our hot Summer days are coming to an end. Started out the week with a lovely walk around Berrinba Wetlands with my mum and brother this morning. It is just the perfect time to go on a walk, the sun is still rising with glimpses of it shining through the trees that surround us.  On Saturday I traveled up to the Sunshine Coast to go on a hike with my sister at Noosa National Park, which was absolutely beautiful. The hike stretched for roughly 8km with ocean views the whole way, I highly recommend going there if you live near.  Well I guess that concludes this post, prepare to see a lot more of me on this space over the coming weeks. Don't forget to follow my Blog so you can stay updated on wh...
